A recent consultation exercise recommended that the BJA syllabus remain technically based, rather than reverting to the previous competitive grading system. Jack Rogerson was our sole entrant at this year’s Hampshire Closed.
Fighting at -38kg, he was in probably the largest group on the day but little suspected that he was going to find himself in a 10 fight marathon!
Jack started brightly, and was unlucky to lose his first contest.

Players from Le Havre will be visiting the Portsmouth area over the weekend 4-5 June.
Judo activities will be co-ordinated by Holbrook Judo Club.
Court Lane players are actively encouraged to take part.
